Buddy met his wife, Carolyn, while both were attending The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His corporate career began in Atlanta and included stints in Nashville, Washington, D.C., Minneapolis and New York. After 15 years operating their own fine jewelry business back in Atlanta, they opted to escape the frenzy of big city life and moved to Beaufort.
